The SEACRAFT Mad Mouse Offshore Fishing Team
For many years, team Mad Mouse has been a force to be reckoned with in the world of offshore fishing. Led by USCG-certified Captain Rob Ferris, this saltwater fishing team also includes Sam Locklear, Randy McBride, Stoney Stone and Monica Ferris. They fish from a SEACRAFT SC32 Master Angler boat with custom "Mad Mouse graphics and can be found on the Southern Kingfish Association (SKA) Trail, Mercury® Tournament Trail and Yamaha® Professional Kingfish Tour.The SKA tournament trail was formed in 1991, and now includes over 50 events in numerous locations, including the Mercury® Tournament Trail and Yamaha® Professional Kingfish Tour. It is sport fishing’s largest saltwater tournament trail. More than three million dollars in prize money are up for grabs.
As well as winning numerous awards and rankings in many tournaments over the years, the offshore anglers in team Mad Mouse have also qualified for the SKA Nationals four years in a row, from 2004 through 2007. The team even made appearances on the outdoor channel TV show “Fishing the Trail.”

Captain Rob Ferris
Team Captain
Home Port: Southport, N.C.
Rob is a certified USCG Captain with more than 25 years of offshore tournament fishing experience.
He lives in North Carolina, where he began his saltwater tournament career at 13. By age 16,
Rob had already won the prestigious U.S. Open King Mackerel Tournament. Through the years,
he and the crew of the Mad Mouse have amounted an impressive list of tournament finishes.
And in 2009, the Southern Kingfish Association named him the Sportsman of the Year for representing
his team and sponsors with the highest degree of integrity, character and class.

Sam Locklear
Team Engineer/Angler
Home Port: Oak Island, N.C.
Sam lives in North Carolina and has been part of the team since 2006. He has seen many
leaderboards during his tournament career, and his hard work and determination are key
motivators for Mad Mouse. As a veteran of the tournament circuit, Sam plays a key role on and off the boat.

Randy McBride
Team Promotions Coordinator/Angler
Home Port: Calera, AL
Randy joined the team for several events in 2008 and will return for more in the 2009 season.
His determination, positive attitude and knowledge are sure to make this one of Mad Mouse's most impressive seasons yet.

Stoney Stone

Stoney is already well known in competitive fishing circles as one of the finest anglers around.
Formerly on the Professional Bass Circuit, he is bringing in a wealth of knowledge to the team as he joins Mad Mouse for the 2009 season.

Monica Ferris
Lady Angler
Home Port: Southport, N.C.
Monica is a student at UNC in Charlotte, N.C., yet still joins the team as often as she can. In everything,
she is a fierce competitor, so don't let the smile fool you. As well as being the Top Lady Angler
in the 2006 Key West Professional Kingfish Tour Event, her angling skills have proven to make short work of monster King Mackerel.
